Dr Gregory Borne
Academic | Researcher | Chartered Surveyor | Chartered Environmentalist
My academic and professional work spans sustainable development, governance, business and environmental practice.
My research focuses on how sustainable development is understood, interpreted and translated into policy and practice. I have particular interests in reflexivity, institutional change, international sustainable development governance and the relationship between global ambitions and local implementation.
I am a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), a RICS Registered Valuer and a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv). In 2017, I established Sustain Surveying, bringing together my interests in sustainability, land, property and professional practice.
My wider activities include academic leadership, doctoral supervision, institutional governance, research partnerships and knowledge exchange.
I am currently based at Falmouth University.
